Effective date: November 20, 2025
Devmart ("Devmart", "we", "us") is a digital infrastructure and systems integration company based in Paramaribo, Suriname. We design, build, and operate digital platforms for government and enterprise organizations in Suriname and the Caribbean. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through our website (devmart.sr), why we collect it, and the choices you have.

2. Data we collect
Contact and meeting requests. When you submit our contact form or schedule a meeting, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, organization, the service you are interested in, an indicative budget range, and your message.
Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address.
Technical and analytics data. When you visit our website, we can process limited technical data (such as pages visited, browser type, device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address) through analytics tools. This only happens after you have given consent for the relevant category. Until you do, no analytics or marketing tags — including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google advertising measurement — are loaded by our website, and no data is sent to them.
3. Why we process your data
We use your data to respond to your inquiries and meeting requests, to prepare proposals you ask us for, to send you our newsletter if you subscribed, to understand how our website is used so we can improve it, and to comply with legal obligations that apply to us.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for automated decision-making.
4. Where your data is stored
Contact form submissions and newsletter subscriptions are stored in our secured database, hosted by our database provider (Supabase) in the United States (AWS region us-east-2, Ohio). Transactional email (such as the confirmation of your contact request) is delivered through our email service provider. Access to lead data is restricted to authorized Devmart personnel through authenticated, role-based access.
5. Sharing of data
We share personal data only with the service providers that make our website work (hosting, database, email delivery, and analytics providers), and only to the extent necessary. We may disclose data where we are legally required to do so. We never share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Retention
We keep contact and lead data for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for business follow-up, unless you ask us to delete it earlier. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Where analytics data is collected with your consent, it is retained in Google Analytics 4 for 14 months. Your cookie choice itself is stored in your own browser and remains there until you change it or clear your browser storage.
7. Your rights
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent at any time (for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter). To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@devmart.sr. We respond within a reasonable period.
8. Cookies and consent
We group cookies and comparable browser storage into three categories. Necessary is always active: it covers what the website needs to function, including remembering your cookie choice and your light/dark theme preference. Analytics is optional and helps us understand how the site is used. Marketing is optional and is used to measure the performance of our advertising. Analytics and marketing can be allowed independently of each other.
Your choice is stored in your own browser (a first-party record in local browser storage named "devmart_consent"). It contains only your cookie categories — no name, email address, telephone number, IP address or any other personal identifier. That record stays in your browser: we do not upload it to our systems and we do not keep it as a profile about you.
Google services, including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google advertising measurement, are only loaded after you have given consent for the relevant category. If you make no choice, or you reject non-essential cookies, these services are not loaded at all. Once you do allow analytics and/or marketing cookies, the consent status for those categories is passed to Google immediately before Google Tag Manager starts, so that only the services you allowed can run. What is shared in that step is the allowed/denied status of the categories, not the stored record itself.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent reloads the page so that the services you no longer allow are not active. You can also clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings.
9. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our systems, and row-level security on our database.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above always reflects the latest version. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
